About me...

B Mark Anderson earned a Master of Divinity from Luther Theological Seminary in 1973. He has ministered on 5 continents and authored 3 books. He received the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues way back in 1963.

Mark never wanted to be a pastor, yet he served as senior pastor of the Church of the Living Water in Muscatine, Iowa for 45 years and now continues to serve as associate pastor.

Mark and his family live on their sustainable farm where they continue to raise grassfed lamb, plus sheep and chickens. They have been happily married since 1972 and are wonderfully blessed with 7 children.

His wife, Kari is the owner of the outstanding SBI website, www.Karipearls.com.

Mark was a star miler and held the record for the mile run at every school he attended.

God has preserved Mark's life through at least 11 near death experiences:

  • while a baby, a bull rolled him around like a ball with the bull's nose
  • he fell out of a barn and landed on his head (in a manure pile!)
  • at 2 years old, the horses ran away with him
  • blood poisoning
  • saved from drowning in a raging river
  • typhoid fever
  • car accident (broke windshield with his head)
  • healed from inoperable, stage 4 cancer
  • sickness in Mexico ("I was so sick I prayed to die.")
  • a house fell on him
  • an airplane crash

"God has a purpose for my life," he asserts," because He has made me like a cat with 9 lives."

The short video below by our daughter Sarah may make you laugh or cry. When shown to our church, almost all cried. . .

The contrivance pictured in the grass is not a wheelchair. It's a tricycle and fun to ride. On a bicycle, you look down. On a tricycle, you look up and can see the clouds. . .

Mark on tricycle. It looked like rain, but the Spirit impressed me to go and ride. I'm glad I did, because I beat the rain.
